Love is Patient, Love is Kind

 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."    I Corinthians 13

My daughter just got married this past weekend in Austin, TX, and we gave her and her husband this framed Scripture from I Corinthians 13. This Bible passage reminds us that God IS Love. And wherever you see true love, you will see the fruit of the Holy Spirit of Jesus: Love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, persistence, faithfulness, and self-control.

Jesus came and gave us 2 simple all encompassing commandments. First, we must love God with all our being; then we must love one another. That's it! And it doesn't get  any simpler than that!

God’s Promise to Y-o-u!

“Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
‘Ever wonder how in the world things will possibly work out for you under the circumstances you face? Well, this Scripture goes a long way in answering the one basic question many have in times of great adversity: “Who will take care of me?”
Clearly, in this Bible passage God is promising that there is no need for you to fear. In fact, fear and faith cannot really coexist; you must choose between one or the other. The Lord goes on to say that He Himself will strengthen you, help you, uphold and preserve you with His righteous right hand.
Understanding Isaiah 41:10 is so important to us all, because it spells out just how ever present and trustworthy God really is. Though we may feel lost and overwhelmed at times, Jesus is there for us fighting our battles with us and sometimes, even for us. No human could possibly provide the love, guidance, counsel, comfort and protection that Jesus can and will bestow upon us, especially in times of adversity.
For in as much as Jesus goes before us and behind us, going boldly where no man can go, we can have sublime peace in knowing He is with us, and we are never alone. So go on… Place your trust in Jesus and put aside all fear and worry. The Lord has you in the palm of His hand!

No Need to Go It Alone!

"When you call  me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you, says the Lord, and I will change your lot..."  Jeremiah 29:12-14

Have you ever needed help in your life and was unsure about where to turn? Of course you have! Haven't we all... Well, I am here to tell you that God is kind and merciful, and in today's Scripture, God himself tells us that He stands ready to help you if you but seek Him with all your heart. Not only will He hear your prayers, he says He stands ready to change your lot. How blest is that!

There isn't anything that God can't heal or help fix. Physical infirmity, disability, mental illness,
challenging finances, relationships, employment. Could it be you are hurting today and this message is written just for you???

Perhaps it's time to tell God what you need and invite Him into the loop. You don't need to do this life on your own, my friend. There isn't anything that God can't do, there isn't anyone He won't help for the asking.

From this day forward, there is no need to wonder how you will be able to go it alone. He will go before you to change hearts and minds and pave the way, and behind you to protect you on your journey.  Because once you invite God in, you can trust that He will share the burden, Great things happen when He is onboard, so bow your head and pray now, without delay, and watch and see Him help make all things new in the name of Jesus Christ!

Commit Your Way to the Lord; Trust That He Will Act!

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust that He will act."  Psalm 37:5

Trust. Today's Scripture passage encourages us to trust God with confidence that He will act on your behalf. Trusting other people may come easier for some than others. People can easily and often let us down, turn their backs on us, hurt us, betray us, ect... Yet when it comes to God, the Bible tells us He is trustworthy and dependable in our times of need.

When you commit your way to Jesus, you are asking Him to work things out for the good. You are asking Him to bless you and your loved ones as only He can. Love. Abundant Supply. Guidance. Protection. Comfort are all things God will provide when you ask Him in the name of Jesus.

Too often, we pray and simply go on our merry way without ever looking back to acknowledge God's handiwork. God answers prayers, makes blessed things happen, removes obstacles, goes before us and prepares hearts, brings people together for the common good.

So go on...Pray for whatever you need today with confidence, and give credit where credit is due. The Bible promises that God will go before you and uphold you with His righteous right hand...And His promises are eternal!
